Senator Pennacchio Calls For Boycott of Tarantino Movies
State Senator Joe Pennacchio (R-Morris, Essex, Passaic) has joined a chorus of elected officials and police organizations in calling for a boycott of Quentin Tarantino movies. At a recent rally, Tarantino called police officers “murderers.” Thousands of police organizations immediately responded asking for a boycott.

“Quentin Tarantino is a poster boy for a hypocritical, corrupt Hollywood intelligentsia. His movies are over the top violent. In one movie, ‘Pulp Fiction’ a scene shows a character being ‘accidentally’ shot in a car. Then a good deal of movie time is devoted to the clean-up of his brain matter,” said Pennacchio.

“Assemblyman DeCroce was a tireless advocate for small business and entrepreneurship not only in Morris County but throughout New Jersey. I am especially honored that this recognition carries his name,” said Pennacchio.
The Morris County Chamber of Commerce recognized the Senator’s efforts as a taxpayer champion and a strong advocate for the business community. Pennacchio was recently honored by the New Jersey Taxpayers Association for his legislative efforts for Transparency and Open Government where he received the “Advocate for Open Government Award.” He was also the recipient of the “Taxpayer Champion” award by the New Jersey Taxpayer Alliance where he received a perfect score and he received the “Guardian of Small Business Award” from the New Jersey Federation of Independent Business from 2008-2014.

I’m honored to be recognized by the New Jersey Taxpayers Association and am thankful for the organization’s recognition of the importance of having an open and transparent government. I remain committed to updating New Jersey’s open record and meetings laws to facilitate a greater level of accountability and government transparency for taxpayers, while easing burdens for local government officials and records requestors.”

Under the legislation, S-3064, the New Jersey Economic Development Authority would be required to establish a “Small Business Bonding Readiness Assistance Program” to provide support services to small businesses and to help them meet surety bonding requirements so that they can qualify to bid on projects.
“Small businesses are the backbone of the state’s economy but often are at a disadvantage when it comes to qualifying for and winning public works projects due to limited resources,” said Pennacchio (R-Morris). “Many small companies are perfectly capable of completing the work but don’t qualify because they haven’t been positioned to meet certain requirements, like bonding.”
Pennacchio: NJ Commuters Still Vulnerable to Forgotten Port Authority
As legislative Democrats continue their redundant hearings to delay bipartisan, bi-state bill to reform the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey, Assistant Senate Republican Leader Joe Pennacchio renewed his call for bipartisan, bi-state reform of the long-troubled Delaware River Port Authority, which is the subject of an ongoing federal criminal investigation.

“Democrat leaders in Trenton need to explain to people why they are ignoring a bi-state, bipartisan reform bill for the hard-working families and commuters who rely on the DRPA services,” said Pennacchio, a veteran Transportation Committeeman. “Our constituents need enhanced oversight, accountability and transparency for the DRPA just as much as they do for the PANYNJ.”
Pennacchio classified yesterday’s PANYNJ legislative committee hearing as just another example of New Jersey Democrats wanting the issue of PANYNJ reform to try to hurt the Christie administration, instead of them wanting to be a part of the solution by passing legislation sponsored by Senator Tom Kean, which has already passed in New York.
Pennacchio Introduces Legislation to End Sale of Baby Body Parts
New Jersey State Senator Joe Pennacchio (R-Morris, Essex, Passaic) introduced legislation that would close a loophole that has allowed organizations such as Planned Parenthood to be paid for aborted infant body parts.
The Senator’s bill would also prohibit fetal baby tissue from being used for the purpose of researching any cosmetic treatment. The bill closes a state and federal loophole by denying any payment for the removal, processing, disposal, preservation, quality control, storage, transplantation or implementation of fetal tissue.
Pennacchio: Questionable DRPA Appointee Proves Immediate Need to Pass Bi-State Reform Bill
Assistant Senate Republican Leader Joe Pennacchio stated the following about a troubling unilateral appointment by Pennsylvania’s governor to the Delaware River Port Authority board, which was exposed by the Philadelphia Daily News:

Sen. Joe Pennacchio said an exposé by the Philadephia Daily News on the questionable qualifications of DRPA board member Whitney White, pictured, further demonstrates the need for reforms to increase legislative oversight of the troubled agency. (Facebook)
“This Daily News exposé is yet another example of why the DRPA, with its continuing history of corruption, cronyism, waste, abuse and billions of dollars in debt, simply cannot operate unchecked. Our bi-state, bipartisan reform legislation would prevent unilateral DRPA appointments by Pennsylvania’s governor, just as any DRPA commissioner nominees by New Jersey’s governor must be approved in public by New Jersey’s Senate before being allowed on the board.
Pennacchio: Latest Planned Parenthood Video Adds to the Concern of Agency’s Motives, Practices
Senator Joe Pennacchio today issued the following statement today regarding the release of a second video apparently depicting a Planned Parenthood representative discussing the procedure and price for providing body parts from aborted fetuses to medical research centers.
“This latest troubling video of a Planned Parenthood representative discussing the price of fetal tissue from aborted fetuses and apparent suggestions that abortion procedures can be altered to better harvest organs or tissue only adds to the concern surrounding the agency’s practices and true motives,” said Pennacchio (R-Morris). “For this high-level Planned Parenthood director to say that she wants a Lamborghini during the same conversation as naming prices for the cost of harvesting organs from aborted fetuses is at best a disturbing representation of the agency’s greed and complete disregard for human decency. At worst, the selling of aborted body parts is not only despicable but flat out illegal.”
Pennacchio Joins New Jersey Right to Life in Denouncing Planned Parenthood’s Alleged Sale of Aborted Body Parts
Pennacchio Calls for Investigation, Legislative Review
Following the release of a video reportedly depicting a Planned Parenthood executive discussing the sale of body parts from aborted fetuses, Senator Joe Pennacchio joined New Jersey Right to Life Executive Director Marie Tasy in denouncing the abhorrent act. Senator Pennacchio also announced efforts to make sure the practice does not occur in New Jersey.
“Selling body parts from an aborted fetus is a sickening shock to the conscious,” said Pennacchio (R-Morris). “If true, Planned Parenthood’s participation in performing abortions to systematically sell body parts from fetuses represents a level of depravity that’s hard to fathom.”
